The third edition of the “Beautiful Highland · Plateau Football” Super League, also known as the Qinghai Super League, officially opened on May 10 at the Qinghai Sports Center in Xining, Qinghai Province. In the opening match, the home side Xining Snow Leopards played to a 1-1 draw against Golog Gesaer.
This year’s league leverages the tournament as a platform to further integrate and upgrade the “agriculture, sports, culture, tourism, commerce, and healthcare” industries. Outside the Qinghai Sports Center, a special exhibition area dubbed “Qinghai Good Products · Qinghai Home Feast” showcased local specialties such as highland barley, goji berries, and quinoa, attracting spectators and tourists alike. The Qinghai Provincial Department of Commerce simultaneously released 1 million yuan worth of exclusive consumption vouchers for “Qinghai Good Products” on e-commerce platforms, and offered linked promotions such as complimentary gift packs for ticket holders and online orders.
Building on the foundations of the previous two tournaments, this year’s Super League has ignited local enthusiasm for football, presented a positive image of “Beautiful Qinghai,” and explored a viable new pathway for the development of football in high-altitude regions.
